Shri Praveen Kulkarni to be the next Director of Operations at Goa Shipyard Ltd.
The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended the name of Commodore Praveen Kulkarni for the post of Director - Operations of Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL).
The appointment of Commodore Praveen Kulkarni as Director (Operations) of GSL will be effective only after the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet's (ACC) approval. Presently, GSL's CMD Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay is holding the additional charge of Director (Operations) post. Presently, he is serving as Commander in the Indian Navy
Kulkarni has been recommended for the post of Director (Operations) of GSL from a list of eight candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel in its selection meeting held on March 15. Out of eight candidates two candidates were from Indian Navy including Kulkarni, two candidates from GSL, two candidates from Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) and one each from Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDSL) and Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL).
